How to Download UPSC IAS 2019 Admit Card?

The Union Public Service Commission had released the recruitment notification of UPSC Civil Services Examination 19’ on February 19, 2019. After successful registration, candidates will be able to download the e-Admit card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter prescribed login credentials mentioned on this page below.

Candidates must take note that the admit card will be available only on the official website (upsc.gov.in). As per the official notification of IAS exam, no candidate shall be sent an admit card by post. On the day of reporting, every examinee must possess the admit card in order to get entry into the exam hall. Step-by-Step Procedure to Download UPSC IAS 2019 Admit Card?

 As mentioned above, the admit card will be issued 15 days prior to the date of preliminary/mains examination. Check out the stepwise procedure to download the Civil services exam admit card below.

 

Step 1 Visit the official website (upsc.gov.in).
Step 2 On home page, click on ‘Admit Cards’.
Step 3 Under E-Admit Cards, click on ‘E-Admit Cards for various Examinations of UPSC’.
Step 4 Now, locate the name of the exam from the list and click on ‘Download’ mentioned besides the exam title concerned.
Step 5 Download the admit card and generate 2-3 hard copies for future reference.

 What if you cannot download the UPSC IAS 19’ e-Admit card?

At an event of download failure, you must contact the commission. However, you must contact the commission’s office at least 3 weeks before the examination otherwise you yourself will be adjudged responsible for non-issuance of admit card. Things to bring on the day of Civil Services Exam

 On the day of reporting, you must possess the following documents:

  • IAS Admit Card 2019
  • An original and a photocopy of photo identity proof, preferably Aadhar card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License or PAN Card.
  • Caste/ Disability certificate (if applicable)

Importance of UPSC IAS 19’ Admit Card

  • First of all, you will not be allowed to take the exam if you are found without the admit card at the time of checking outside examination hall or the centre.
  • It serves as the document of your identification as it contains important details such as your personal details, roll number, photograph, signature, venue details, and general instructions.

Important Instructions

  • As soon as you download the admit card, ensure that you read the printed details on the admit card very carefully.
  • In case you come across any discrepancy, let it come into the notice of UPSC immediately.
  • Mere issuance of an admit card does not necessarily confirms your candidature. It will remain provisional until and unless the commission gives it formal consent.
  • Students caught using unfair means will not be allowed to continue the examination.
  • Each candidate must preserve the admit card till the entire recruitment process is over.
